Fashion in America

Keeping abreast of fashion and modern clothing trends can be expensive. (Don't believe us? Just do a little window shopping along Rodeo Drive or Fifth Avenue!).

But just how much do people spend on fashion each year? With many people watching their budgets more closely than ever, we decided to do some research and find out just how much money gets poured into looking sharp each year.

Fashion Spending on the Campaign Trail

Remember when word spread last fall of how much money the Republican National Committee spent on Sarah Palin's wardrobe? Her clothing wardrobe carried a not-so-modest $150,000.00 price tag from shopping sprees at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

Fashion Costs in the United States

In the United States alone, the fashionable - and not-so-fashionable - spend billions of dollars on clothing, accessories and trends to look good. From the New York City hipster who buys new modern dresses each week to the first-time mother trying to find trendy modest apparel, it seems like fashion is an industry that transcends all boundaries and is growing by the day.
