Black and White Fashion Sketches|Fashion Drawings

Giambattista Valli is a fashion designer who originates from Rome, Italy. As a youngster, he would watch black and white TV in Italy, and then guess the colors of the clothes that people on TV wore. Later, Valli began duplicating the fashion drawings that a particular famous designer had created.

An important relationship in Valli's life was the one between he and Roberto Capucci. Valli learned from Capucci some crucial information regarding volume and color.

Valli's career in the fashion industry then began to develop. He worked for various famous fashion labels, including Fendi. Later, Valli became Emanuel Ungaro's art director of fashion. After working for various other fashion companies, Valli introduced a disco-inspired fashion line in 2003. Another noteworthy event happened in March of 2005. That's when Valli launched his own fashion line. Many of his designs seemed reminiscent of a particular designer for Yves Saint Laurent. Valli credits creating clothing for his celebrity friends (including one of the ex members of the Spice Girls) as responsible for increasing the popularity of his fashion creations.
